- Use Quick Balls or Dusk Balls on the very first turn. Much higher catch rates before it has a chance to run!
- Have Pokemon at high friendship levels use abilities like Hypnosis to put it to sleep. Or use strong status effect berries.
- Use your most powerful ball varieties – Heavy Balls work well since it’s a heavyweight Cheetah fusion. Be ready with Quick Balls if it wakes up!
I would also recommend using lures and bait to keep constant activity and not break your catch chain while waiting for it to spawn. Maintain max catch combos, possibly over multiple days until that glorious moment!
